Milan transfer target Noa Lang confirms he is ready to leave Club Brugge. ‘The time has come to continue the growth process at a higher level.’

The winger will turn 23 later this week and is fresh from scoring a spectacular strike for the Netherlands against Wales in the Nations League.

Also linked with Leeds United, Everton, Aston Villa and other clubs, Lang has been heavily linked with a move to Milan.

“It’s going to be a very important step in my career, especially with the World Cup on the horizon,” he told De Telegraaf.

“I will make the choice that makes me happy. I don’t know for certain yet what the future holds, but if I do remain at Club Brugge, I will give 100 per cent. However, we did agree that the time has come for me to continue the growth process at a higher level.”

Lang was asked if he has any preferences between the various big European leagues now that he is leaving Belgium.

“Good players can make their mark anywhere. It’s about talking to the club and seeing what sensations you get.”

Serie A Scudetto winners Milan are in the Champions League next term and are also in negotiations with Club Brugge for Lang’s teammate Charles De Ketelaere.
