With last night’s 2-0 Inter victory over Napoli, it means the Giallorossi can close to within three points of second place, but also risk seeing the Nerazzurri catch them up in the final Champions League spot.

Iago Falque, Salih Ucan and Norbert Gyomber miss out, but Nainggolan returns from suspension and Dzeko is back in the starting XI.

However the Giallorossi will have to play without playmaker Miralem Pjanic, who reported some muscular trouble shortly before the game.

Atalanta beat Milan and Bologna recently to break away from the drop zone, but go into this match without Alessandro Diamanti, Carlos Carbonero, Davide Bassi and the banned duo Luca Cigarini and Marten De Roon.

The midfield has to be transformed with Giulio Migliaccio and Remo Freuler stepping in.

Atalanta caused a huge upset in November with their 2-0 victory at the Stadio Olimpico, decided by Alejandro Gomez and German Denis.

It was a fiery affair with Douglas Maicon sent off for the hosts, Guglielmo Stendardo and Alberto Grassi seeing red for the Orobici.

That result ended a run of just two points in seven competitive meetings with Roma, home and away.

The Giallorossi are unbeaten in this fixture since a 4-1 hammering in February 2012, leaving Bergamo with two wins and a draw.
