The two teams face off tonight at 19:45, in a game that could be surprisingly open.

The Rossoneri haven't been able to emerge from their crisis this season under Sinisa Mihajlovic, but the Blucerchiati did so poorly that at one point they risked dropping to Serie B.

“I never had to campaign against relegation and before the game against Frosinone I was anxious,” he told the Press. “Had we lost, everything would have been difficult. We knew we had the qualities to re-emerge.

“The fans booing me? The fact was not as serious as people believe. I already scored eight goals and I want to make it to 10 as early as tonight.”

The 25-year-old's outstanding season could very well see him conquer the Azzurri shirt for Euro 2016.

“Conte will watch Sampdoria's last few games and my teammates and I will do everything we can to convince him. It all comes down to what we can do for the club.

“Let's have a great ending to the season, let's give some joy to the supporters, and we'll calmly await the decisions of the Coach.

“A transfer to Inter? I never thought about it. Eder's trouble there is normal, there's competition in a top club.”
