Supercoppa Liveblog: Inter vs. Juventus

This is the traditional clash between the Scudetto winners and the Coppa Italia holders, which used to be played pre-season in August, but in recent years has moved to December or January.

“It’s very important for them and for us, because it’s a Final against a strong side like Juventus,” Lautaro Martinez told Sport Mediaset.

“We must be concentrated from the first minute, so we can take control of the game and play the way we planned.”

Inter patron Steven Zhang flew in last week and is in the stands at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza this evening.

“Our President and our fans are always behind us, so it’s important to continue this momentum.”

While the Nerazzurri are top of the Serie A table and coming off eight consecutive Serie A victories, Juve are fresh from a comeback to beat Roma 4-3.

“Juve are a strong side, but we have our strengths too, we must do what we prepared in training, because only one team can lift the trophy.”

Inter have won the Supercoppa Italiana five times, while Juventus have a record nine editions of the trophy.
