Alex Sandro insists ‘there is no favourite’ between Juventus and Inter when they face off in the Supercoppa Italiana this evening.
The Nerazzurri are arguably the favourites, as they have won their last eight Serie A games and have practically a full-strength squad at the disposal of coach Simone Inzaghi.
On the other hand, Juve are missing key players including Federico Chiesa, Matthijs de Ligt, Juan Cuadrado and Wojciech Szczesny, but came back from 3-1 down to beat Roma 4-3 on Sunday.
“Coming off a great victory the way we won it against Roma really boosted our confidence, but Inter are on good form too, so we need to be wary in our approach from the very first minute,” Alex Sandro told Sport Mediaset.
“It’s always a separate situation in a one-off final, there is no favourite, so we’ll see who wins it. These are difficult games to predict, there is no formula to win the match, we just have to do our best.”
The Derby d’Italia ended with a contentious 1-1 draw when these sides last met in Serie A earlier in the season.
