Fiorentina are close to reaching an agreement with Juventus for Arthur Melo’s loan, but the Bianconeri’s target Franck Kessié is reportedly unwilling to leave Barcelona to return to Serie A.

Fabrizio Romano claims Fiorentina are close to signing Arthur on loan with an option to buy for €20m. Juventus will pay part of his salary during his stay in Florence.

According to Sky Sport Italia, the two clubs will likely shake hands on Tuesday. As per Il Corriere dello Sport (page 7), Fiorentina’s option to buy is lower than €30m because Juventus still owe them money for the transfer of Dusan Vlahovic in January 2022.

Juventus have targeted Barcelona midfielder Kessié to strengthen their midfield and are willing to sign the ex-Atalanta and Milan star on loan with an option to buy.

According to Sky Sport Italia, the La Liga giants are open to discussing Kessié’s transfer but the Ivory Coast international seems unwilling to leave Nou Camp to return to Serie A, regardless of the club.
