Adrien Rabiot highlighted Juventus’ need to bounce back from their loss to Milan with a good showing against Maccabi Haifa in the Champions League.

The Bianconeri struggled at San Siro on Saturday and stumbled to a 2-0 loss, allowing an injury-struck Milan to dictate tempo as they cruised to a key win. The pressure is immediately on Juventus again as they travel to Israel desperate for three points as they look to close the gap in their Champions League group.

Speaking to Juventus TV, Rabiot first underlined the importance of a Juventus victory over Maccabi Haifa.

“Yes, we have to win. We can’t choose the result, but we have to give everything for this victory in order to play a final in Lisbon.

“I expect a more offensive team. They’ll play in their own stadium in front of their fans, so it will be a harder and tougher game for us.”

The French midfielder then touched on the need to move on from the 2-0 loss to Milan.

“We have to forget about this match and start again immediately with a win. The Champions League is always another thing, the matches are with more intensity and the teams are all attacking.

“There’s the desire of everyone to do this result and get out of the group.”

The 27-year-old Rabiot played a key role in Juventus’ 3-1 home win over Maccabi Haifa last week, scoring a brace in Turin to finally put some points on the board for the Bianconeri in Group H.
