There was an intriguing visit to Juventus headquarters today from agents Rafaela Pimenta and Enzo Raiola, reportedly to discuss what next for Moise Kean and Luca Pellegrini.

The pair have inherited the talent agency following Mino Raiola’s death on April 30 and Pimenta was a regular visitor to the Bianconeri while negotiating the deal for free agent Paul Pogba.

It was somewhat unexpected to see both Pimenta and Raiola, who is Mino’s cousin, at the Continassa training ground today.

According to Goal.com, the reason for the meeting was concern around the future of both Pellegrini and Kean.

Pellegrini is a 23-year-old left-back who has struggled for regular playing time and could be sent out on loan this season.

The situation is more complicated with Kean, who despite being only 22 years old, already seems to have had several blown opportunities in his career.

He is currently on loan from Everton, but Juventus have an obligation to buy for €28m if certain targets are achieved during this season.

Kean is suspended for the opening Serie A match against Sassuolo and last week was dropped by Max Allegri as punishment for tardiness from the friendly defeat to Atletico Madrid.

Finding a buyer for Kean is extremely difficult, so it’s possible this meeting was to warn his agents that Juventus will not stand for further bad behaviour.

It’s hardly the first time, as he was famously excluded from the Italy Under-21 side with Roma’s Nicolò Zaniolo for again turning up late to training and team meetings.

  1. Pellegrini is better than Sandro, which is not saying much. But selling Sandro should be the priority. I have no idea if the management have a left back in mind though.

Kean should leave as soon as possible.

  2. He needs to sell Kean.
Allegri inherited a really poor team because of Paratici and has been impressive in deciding who’s going and who’s coming in but even more than Arthur or Rabiot does Kean need to go. Even Arnautovic or Martin Braithwaite would be better CF options than Kean?!

  3. Keep Kean. Too much talent. What he needs is a team thta willing to show some patience and guidance. Im tired of Juve constant buying second rate foregin players to replace more talented Italians. Seems Juve is racist towards Italian players.

  4. The biggest winner is Alex Sandro. Never has one player had it better. Never listed on the market, allowed to get away with sub par performances and earns around £6 million a season. He has even got worse under Allegri but even he has gotten worse since he returned with a bigger wrecking ball.
