Monza transfer target Mauro Icardi has been excised from the Paris Saint-Germain squad and made to train separately with the other ‘undesirables.’

According to L’Equipe, the rapport between the striker and his club is at an all-time low and it is difficult to see how he could ever play for them again.

Icardi went on vacation to Ibiza last week with his wife Wanda and their children, then released an Instagram statement to deny the official line that he was out of the squad for their Ligue 1 opener due to ‘personal reasons.’

Instead, the Argentina international clarified he had been told he was not needed for that weekend and could take time off.

Now Icardi is back in Paris, but L’Equipe note he is training separately with the other players who are urged to find themselves a new club this summer.

Monza are one of the only clubs truly interested in Icardi, although that would be a loan deal with option to buy, enabling him to still live in the huge apartment they still own in Milan.

The 29-year-old shot to fame at Sampdoria and then Inter, before securing the €63m plus bonuses transfer to PSG in 2019.

Another potential club to rescue Icardi from Paris could be Manchester United, who need a striker with Cristiano Ronaldo pushing for the exit.

  1. Name it what you want, God, Nature, Karma or else. Justice will be served. I use to be his fan and it is so annoying to see him in this situation. Whatever we do in our lives returns to ourselves.

  2. Should seek a move to a newly promoted side in england – remember jesse lingaard on £200,000 a week at nottingham forest
