Juventus and Atletico Madrid will play their pre-season friendly tomorrow, moving it from Tel Aviv to Turin due to safety fears following unrest in the region.

The match was meant to be held on Sunday evening at the Bloomfield Stadium, but both clubs and promoter Comtec Group called it off “in light of the current security situation” in Israel following clashes and rocket launches.

However, Juventus and Atletico Madrid worked to reschedule the match and will now play on Sunday at the Continassa training ground in Turin.

It will be played behind closed doors, so not even a small number of fans will be allowed into the training centre, but is still an opportunity for the two teams to test themselves for the last time before the domestic season kicks off next weekend.

The start time for the friendly is now 18.00 local time (17.00 UK).

Israel has hosted several high-profile pre-season friendlies over the last couple of weeks, including Roma’s 1-0 win over Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur.
