Jessie Lingard is set to leave Manchester United on a free transfer next month and he could make the move to Italy, with Juventus and Milan leading the race to secure his signature.

The 29-year-old English forward will sever his career-long tie to the Red Devils at the end of this season, forcing him to find a new club as he looks to secure a spot in Gareth Southgate’s England squad for the upcoming World Cup in Qatar. Whilst he found some success with West Ham, he may be tempted by a more competitive project.

As reported by ESPN, there is no shortage of interest in the Premier League for Lingard, but currently Juventus and Milan both lead the race to pick him up on a free transfer. Both clubs have registered their interest, but they’ll need to shake off both English and foreign competition.

During his brief loan spell with West Ham last season, Lingard scored nine goals and provided five assists in 16 appearances, showing what he’s capable of when given a solid chance.

  1. @Frankie I think this is another speculative story and I am not worried about this. However football is a strange game and if he did end up at Juventus and on Ramsey money, I think it will speak volumes about the management. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me.

  2. No chance of this poison coming to Milan. going round and telling media pundits about the state of the dressing room. That after deciding to stay on the bench collecting cash to wind down his contract. Mercenaries not wanted.

  3. I think he’ll be a great addition to the Serie A as a whole if given a good chance. He already proved himself at west ham

  4. Would love him to join Juve , He has what it takes to become key midfielder and goal scorer , Not too old to add in the Squad , am surprised how you guys under estimating this lad , May be you didn’t watch him play for West Ham whereby he was the key player , He will be the perfect addition along with Chiesa – Vlahovic and Locatelli , forget about Ramsey though not everyone will turn out to be Ramsey Guys , Am sure Milan and inter are going to regret if he ends up with Old Lady , Which Coach in Serie-A Will be against signing this kind of play maker ?

  5. Lol. Yeah, this isn’t going to happen. His agent must be dropping these rumours and praying. No thanks.
Might go to the Winter Champions seeing as he’ll be a freebie and their owners are bankrupt.
