Whilst recent reports have linked David Ospina with a move to Lazio, the Colombian goalkeeper may still extend his stay with Napoli.
The 33-year-old Colombian shot stopper joined the Partenopei from Arsenal in July 2019 in a deal worth around €3.5m after a successful loan spell, and he’s become an important player in the Campania capital, keeping Alex Meret out of the starting lineup. His current deal is set to expire at the end of this season, meaning he’d leave on a free transfer.
As reported by TuttoNapoli, Meret’s future seems to be linked closely to that of Meret; should the Italian shot stopper leave, Ospina would be offered a renewal by Napoli.
The Colombian shot stopper has remained the number one option in Naples under Luciano Spalletti this season, making 29 Serie A appearances. Updates regarding Ospina’s future are expected in the coming weeks, especially after the season draws to a close.

Ospina is significantly better than Meret, this absurd that it is even being considered. The sole reason that they would let Ospina go and keep Meret is because Meret is Italian, that is it.
