Italy will take to the field against England wearing their brand new Adidas kits at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona on Thursday evening.

The German manufacturers agreed a deal with FIGC to become the Azzurri’s official kit supplier, which began in January, 2023.

Italy were previously dressed by Puma for a 19-year period between 2003 and 2022.

Upon the completion of the deal to sign with Adidas, FIGC President Gabriele Gravina commented: “A new era starts today for football and Italy, here’s to enjoying lots of success together.”

No details have yet been confirmed over the intended length of the agreement between Adidas and the Italian national team.

As well as donning the famed three stripes for the first time on Thursday, Italy will also be wearing a special patch on their kits commemorating the late Gianluca Vialli

The tribute to Roberto Mancini’s close friend and former assistant will be placed on the inside of the shirts’ collars and will read “Luca, Azzurro forever.”

Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma also paid a personal tribute to Vialli earlier in the week with a post on his social media channels.

Italy will show off their new kit for the first time in Naples on Thursday evening, with kick off against England set for 19.45 GMT.
