Federico Marchetti, Mario Balotelli and Davide Santon are among the names in Italy’s squad to face Holland.

Cesare Prandelli will begin the get-together with his players on Monday afternoon at Coverciano, then fly out to Amsterdam on Tuesday.

The international friendly will kick off at 19.30 GMT on Wednesday evening.

Lazio goalkeeper Marchetti is the big novelty, as he has not played for Italy since the 2010 World Cup, but is on stunning form so far this season.

Balotelli gets the nod just days after completing his €20m transfer to Milan, while Newcastle United full-back Santon is recalled.

Leonardo Bonucci is dropped for breaking the code of ethics, as he is sitting out a two-match Serie A ban for insulting the referee.

Several others are injured, such as Christian Maggio, Giorgio Chiellini and Federico Balzaretti.
