Inter’s substitutes have scored just one Serie A goal off the bench this season, ranking only better than SPAL in that regard.

That goal was scored by Alessandro Bastoni, who replaced Diego Godin at Lecce in January and netted the equaliser in a 1-1 draw.

The only team to have fared worse are SPAL, whose substitutes have yet to score during a league match in 2019-20.

In contrast, at the other end of the spectrum, Atalanta lead the way on 14 goals, five clear of Verona in second place and eight of table-toppers Juventus.

Atalanta striker Luis Muriel has scored half of his side’s goals off the bench (7), making him Serie A’s ultimate super-sub.

Andreas Cornelius ranks second with five of Parma’s eight goals, followed by Felipe Caicedo who is responsible for four of Lazio’s eight strikes off the bench.

Despite that, Antonio Conte’s look well-placed to improve on that basis once the season resumes on June 20, with Christian Eriksen, Stefano Sensi and Alexis Sanchez all fit again.
