“I don’t listen to these rumours,” Dragowski told La Gazzetta dello Sport. “I’m a Fiorentina player and I have to do my best to lift the team as high as possible.”

The former Empoli man has yet to be capped by Poland but has established himself as an ever-present in the Fiorentina squad and was rewarded by a new deal until June 2023 last summer.

“I chose to extend my contract with Fiorentina because I believe a lot in this team and in this club.

“President [Rocco] Commisso has made big investments and is a serious person. I believe in this project. In addition, there’s Florence, a splendid city.”

Dragowski has kept seven clean sheets in 26 games so far this term and reveals he has been encouraged by the new coach Beppe Iachini.

“He really wanted me here and believed in me,” he added. “An injection of fundamental trust in a delicate period.”

Fiorentina, currently 13th in the League, continue the campaign with a home game against Brescia on June 22.
