Zlatan Ibrahimovic is edging closer to making his return for Milan and has a clear goal in mind, reports detail.

The 41-year-old Swedish forward has not made a single appearance for the Rossoneri this season as he continues recovering from a knee operation, carried out at the end of last season.

Ibrahimovic played through injury to help Milan secure their first league title in over a decade and has been forced to watch on from the sidelines since.

As reported by Corriere dello Sport, Ibrahimovic’s recovery is progressing well and he carried out work with the ball on the training pitch at Milanello for the first time yesterday, taking an important step forward.

The Swedish veteran will continue to carry out individual on-pitch work for the time being before re-joining his teammates, not taking any risks in his recovery.

Ibrahimovic’s goal is to be fit in time for Milan’s Champions League clash against Tottenham on February 14.
