The Rossoneri need a win quickly and these Milan vs. Sassuolo predictions suggest that they could be in luck this weekend.

Milan vs. Sassuolo odds

1 – Milan to win – 4/9

2 – Under 2.5 goals scored – 6/4

3 – Both teams not to score – 21/20

4 – Milan to win 2-0 – 7/1

5 – Milan to win to nil – 13/8

Stefano Pioli is in dire need of a win. Another thrashing at the hands of Lazio on Tuesday left Milan 12 points behind Napoli at the top of the table as they look to repeat last season’s scudetto triumph.

Milan have now not won in their last three Serie A games, lost the Supercoppa Italia to Inter and have been dumped out of the Coppa Italia by Torino. If they are to get back on track in the league, at least, they need to take all three points at the San Siro on Sunday.

That should be possible but it may not be the greatest performance. Points are more important than quality at the moment and a narrow victory might be expected.

This seems to be the best time for Sassuolo to meet Milan away from home. But the Neroverdi are really struggling at the moment themselves. A draw away at Monza last weekend brought in the first point since October.

It is not as if Sassuolo have been playing many of the better teams in Serie A either and Alessio Dionisi’s future at the club must be under threat. A good performance and some points would be ideal for the visitors – but that seems unlikely.

Sassuolo have managed to score the odd goal here or there over the last few weeks but Milan should be able to keep them out. So a win to nil for the home side should be a safe bet.

Milan team news

Stefano Pioli could have more defensive injury problems to deal with this weekend. Both Davide Calabria and Fikayo Tomori could miss this one, with Malick Thiaw and Sinon Kjær possibly deputising. The Rossoneri boss could be tempted to change around his attacking unit as well, but may see how this starting XI begins the game before switching.

Sassuolo team news

Alessio Dionisi needs something to change with the fortunes of his team but is unable to make many changes to his starting XI because of a limited squad. He may opt for Agustín Álvarez instead of Grégoire Defrel up front though.
