The FIGC Prosecutor has asked for Juventus to be handed a nine-point deduction, something that would have important ramifications on the Serie A table.
The Bianconeri are currently under investigation by both the Turin Public Prosecutor’s Office and the FIGC for alleged financial malpractice, namely the usage of falsified capital gains and hidden player payments agreed during the early stages of the COVID pandemic. The FIGC’s sporting investigation is only focused on inflated transfer values.
Should Juventus be handed a nine-point deduction, they’d drop down to 7th in the Serie A table with 28 points, six below 6th place Roma. Lazio would move into the top four, tied on points with both Atalanta and their intercity rivals, and it would leave the two Milanese clubs to chase league leaders Napoli.
FIGC Prosecutor Giuseppe Chiné also asked for a 16-month suspension for former president Andrea Agnelli, 20 months and 10 days for now-Tottenham sporting director Fabio Paratici and 10 months for Federico Cherubini and the former board of directors, including Pavel Nedevd.
