Inter will not get their hands on Memphis Depay as the Dutchman has completed a move from Barcelona to Atletico Madrid.

Reports this week suggested that the Nerazzurri were in advanced talks with the Blaugrana regarding a possible swap deal involving Depay and Argentinian forward Joaquin Correa, who has struggled to show his best in the Lombardy capital following his move from Lazio.

Depay joined Barcelona on a free transfer in July 2021 and signed a two-year deal with the club. His wages started to become a problem for the Blaugrana’s finances and it quickly became apparent that he’d be leaving the club this month.

As announced by Atletico, Depay has now joined Diego Simeone’s side on a €3m deal from Barcelona, signing a two-and-a-half-year contract with the Madrid outfit.

Inter and Barcelona were also rumoured to be discussing a possible swap deal involving Marcelo Brozovic and Franck Kessie, but things have fallen quiet in recent days.
