French Serie A fans will be unable to legally watch Juventus’ upcoming clash with Atalanta due to a new injunction from the French Ministry of Economy, Finance and Industry.

Calciomercato.com details how Qatari broadcaster BeIN Sports have announced that no more Atalanta games will be broadcast in France in the near future following an injection made by the Directorate General for Competition, Consumers and Fraud Prevention (DGCCRF), a part of the French Ministry of Economy, Finance and Industry.

The injunction is based on Atalanta’s shirt sponsor, Plus 500, who offer “investment services relating to risky financial contracts. These advertisements are prohibited by the Consumer Code,” BeIN Sports were told by the DGCCRF. The Qatari broadcasters confirmed their intention to find a solution with the DGCCRF, keen to reoffer Atalanta matches again.

Plus 500, who have sponsored la Dea since 2020, are a financial trading platform based in Cyprus. They also have business relations with Legia Warsaw, Young Boys and the Chicago Bulls in the NBA.
