The 2006 World Cup winner was cautioned in the 3-2 win at Bari on Sunday and thus misses out on Wednesday's San Siro clash against Palermo.

Joining the Rossoneri veteran on the sidelines is Roma full-back Marco Cassetti after his booking in the 2-0 derby win over Lazio.

Cassetti, formerly of Lecce, has subsequently been ruled out of the tricky tie against Fiorentina at the Olimpico.
