Bologna have conceded that they don't have the funds to sign Emiliano Viviano outright from Internazionale.
The goalkeeper is owned by both Serie A sides, but the Rossoblu are already preparing themselves to say goodbye to the custodian.
"Viviano's situation is that he is at the centre of a co-ownership deal with Inter which will need to be resolved in one way or another," Bologna sporting director Carmine Longo said.
"I honestly don't think that Bologna have the money available to take total control of his whole contract.

"After all, don't forget that we are talking about the current first choice for the Italian national team…
"Inter could take him at the end of the campaign or leave him with us for another season," he continued.
"However, these things are to be discussed in the summer seeing as co-ownership deals don't need to be resolved until 23 June."
The Florence-born custodian is having a campaign to remember at the Stadio Dall'Ara in just his second Serie A season.
Consistently one of the best shot-stoppers in the Division, he is also presently the Italian No 1 given the absence of the injured Gigi Buffon.
It's understood that Inter are ready to offer Bologna €6.5m for their 50 per cent stake in him.
The former Brescia 'keeper has also been linked with moves to Arsenal, Villarreal, Bayern Munich, Rubin Kazan and Zenit St Petersburg.
