This evening they took the lead after four minutes, but largely left the initiative to Milan in a 1-1 draw and were jeered at the final whistle.

“We deserved to win in the first half and deserved to lose in the second. There’s no consistency, we started so strong and had more chances after the goal,” the Coach told Mediaset Premium.

“After the restart, we forgot our style of football, there was nothing good in technical, tactical or physical terms. We just have to work and ask ourselves some questions so that we can improve.

“We’re midway through the season and nothing is lost, but when we get the chance to close up on the leading pack, we need to take it.

“In the first 25 minutes we did what we were supposed to do and had that hunger, but then it was as if a light went off. I did not expect that. I expected more from my players.

“It’s only normal that the fans are not happy with the second half performance, I told the lads we can and must do better. You don’t win without consistency, even during the course of a single game.

“We must play the way we did in the first half and forget the second.”

Will this be the final match for Garcia?

“My position is the least of my concerns.”
