Amadou Diawara reportedly rejected a Wolves move, as he could be part of Napoli’s exchange deal for Roma defender Kostas Manolas.
According to Sky Sport Italia, midfielder Diawara is eager to remain in Serie A and make the switch to the Stadio Olimpico this summer.
In order to help push that through, he has turned down a transfer to Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Diawara turns 22 next month, but is not part of Carlo Ancelotti’s plans, making only 19 competitive appearances in a Napoli jersey this season.

However, Roma remain adamant they will only part with Manolas if someone activates the €36m release clause in his contract.
Juventus and Milan are also known to be interested in the Greek international centre-back.
Manolas is seen as the ideal replacement for Raul Albiol, who is heading to Villarreal for €6m.
