Serie A’s total yearly salary spend has again fallen, according to the Gazzetta dello Sport’s annual investigation.

The 20 Serie A clubs now hand out €849m to their players, €63m less than in the previous campaign and a massive €251m saving from 2011. It was at €829m in 2007.

Juventus are the only club whose wage bill has actually increased as they presently hand out €118m to their first team squad.
