The teenage Italy striker has struggled since his move to Everton and was repeatedly linked with a return to Serie A for Roma or Milan.

Having criticised Felipe Melo and Balotelli in his autobiography, Chiellini made an important distinction when it comes to Mino Raiola client Kean.

“Balotelli’s only contribution is the way he shoots. There are those who compare him to Moise Kean, a lad who might appear to be rebellious and impossible to deal with, but he is nothing like Mario,” wrote the Juventus captain.

“Of course, he was fined many, many times in the Juventus youth academy, but when he played for the senior team, he always acted very respectfully towards the existing group.

“At times he didn’t hear the alarm and would turn up late, but that sort of behaviour can be changed without much difficulty.”

Kean and Roma midfielder Nicolò Zaniolo were excluded from the Italy Under-21 squad during the European Championships because they were repeatedly late to team meetings.

Meanwhile, Balotelli is today on the verge of terminating his contract with Brescia early, as it's reported he again did not turn up to training.
