Giorgio Chiellini admits Juventus “are not Real Madrid and never will be” in terms of their Champions League approach.
The Bianconeri drew 0-0 with Sevilla in their first match of this season’s competition, drawing criticism from a section of the support.
“Real Madrid can win 6-2, Milan with Ronaldinho could win 5-2,” Chiellini noted in La Stampa.
“We win 1-0 or 2-0. That’s the history of the club, and we’re talking about decades.

“Do you have to win another way in Europe? There isn’t just one way to do it, but there’s history to follow and characteristics to maintain, which is not to say you don’t try to win 3-0.
“We have to improve, but we’re not Real Madrid and we never will be. We don’t have their characteristics, if they concede 3-2 then it’ll end 6-2.
“We’re a team that, if we’re in the lead, we must not concede goals.”
