Roberto Donadoni admits his Bologna side face “a tough test” against Napoli tomorrow night.

The Rossoblu have won two of their first three Serie A games, but travel to San Paolo to face last season’s runner-up this weekend.

“We need to continue this growth process,” Donadoni urged in his pre-match Press conference.

“Napoli are one of the three best teams in the League, so it’s a difficult test. Our growth shouldn’t only be technical and athletic, but above all mental.

“Napoli have shown how good they are in every competition, facing a team like that is stimulating. Every game has its own story, they’ve changed a lot of players from last year but we have to concentrate on our team.”

Arkadiusz Milik has enjoyed a fine start to his Napoli career, are there any specific plans to deal with him tomorrow?

“The defenders must know how to find the right countermeasures, we don’t stop when faced with difficulties, we overcome them.

“Whether it’ll be [Marios] Oikonomou or someone else, you need to adapt. We’ll face the game as we always do, we won’t just go out to defend.

“Against these teams we have to be ruthless with the few chances they’ll give us.”

Amadou Diawara were at Bologna last season, but are now both representing the Partenopei.

“They were important for us, as their arrival at Napoli shows,” Donadoni said.

“From a professional point of view I’m happy for them.

“We have to look ahead now. I was sorry to read about Giak this morning [his agent claimed Donadoni didn’t work hard to keep him], I’ve never heard from his agent, I called him once.

“What remains is the great respect I have for a professional like him [Giaccherini].”
