Milan and Napoli are reportedly interested in Lille striker Jonathan David, but Chelsea have now joined the race for the Canada international.

Both Milan and Napoli will be looking for a new centre forward in the summer transfer window as Victor Osimhen is expected to leave the Stadio Maradona, while Olivier Giroud’s contract at San Siro runs out at the end of the season.

Whether the Frenchman stays or leaves in the summer, the Rossoneri will sign a new centre forward.

Gazzetta has recently claimed that David is among Milan’s targets alongside six other candidates but Napoli have also included the 24-year-old in a five-man striker shortlist.

Now, Telefoot and Caught Offside claim Chelsea are also monitoring David ahead of a possible transfer at the end of the season. The Canadian forward has netted 11 goals in 26 appearances across all competitions this season.

It’s interesting to notice that Chelsea are also among the frontrunners for Osimhen, so if they end up signing the Nigeria international from Napoli in the summer, the Partenopei will have higher financial resources and fewer opponents in the race for the Canadian star.
