Frosinone director Guido Angelozzi confirms that both Matias Soulé and his parent club Juventus rejected ‘a big offer’ from Saudi Arabia, rumoured to be worth €30m.

The Canarini are in action against Hellas Verona at the Stadio Bentegodi this afternoon.

Soulé is in the starting XI, but over the last few days there was a great deal of speculation around his future after suggestions of a €30m proposal from Al-Ittihad.

This would’ve allowed him to become teammates with the likes of Karim Benzema and Kante, but both the player and his parent club Juventus were not interested.

“The offer from Saudi Arabia was real, but he will 100 per cent remain at Frosinone until the end of the season,” Angelozzi told DAZN.

“It was a decision made by the lad himself. He had an important offer, a lot of money going both to Juve and to the player.

“But he wanted to respect the commitment he made to Frosinone. We’ll see where he goes in June, but I can confirm that story was real and it is now a closed matter. He is not leaving Frosinone.”

Soulé is only 20 years old, but is already starting to get call-ups to the senior Argentina squad.

He has flourished with regular playing time on loan at Frosinone this season, scoring nine goals and providing one assist in 19 games.

Frosinone do not have an option to buy, so he will return to Juventus at the end of the season and is under contract until June 2026.
