Fabio Capello explains why Antonio Conte has no reason to demand new signings in January and insists Inter are the favourites to win the Serie A title.
The former England coach shared his thoughts on the Scudetto race in an interview with Il Corriere dello Sport.
“Milan have a good coach and some leaders who are helping the team. Milan have always based their successes on the development of their academy players such as Franco Baresi, Paolo Maldini, Filippo Galli and Alessandro Costacurta.

“Milan have a good coach and some leaders who are helping the team. Milan have always based their successes on the development of their academy players such as Franco Baresi, Paolo Maldini, Filippo Galli and Alessandro Costacurta.
“Now they have many foreign footballers, but Calabria and Donnarumma came through their youth sector.”
Capello, however, believes Inter remain the favourites to win the title.
“I said it at the beginning of the season and I can confirm it now.
“Conte has no reason to demand new signings, especially because Inter were eliminated from Europe. Every coach would be happy to be in charge of this Inter side and think he said it too.
“The management of the group will be a key factor for the Nerazzurri.
“Juventus are getting back on track even without the help of Cristiano Ronaldo, it means they are really going back to their level.
“As for Napoli, I think they’ve taken a strong decision on Milik, but they are hurting themselves.
“There are five teams that will battle it out for the first four placements: Inter, Milan, Juve, Atalanta and Roma.”
