Carnevali, however, believes it was Leonardo Bonucci who deserved to be sent off for a foul on Francesco Caputo.

“We could be angry, because Bonucci was not sent off. He made that foul and maybe a red card would have been fair,” the Sassuolo director told Tiki Taka.

Bonucci wrestled Ciccio Caputo back, but there were other defenders in the vicinity and they were still quite a long way from goal.

Juventus face Inter at the Giuseppe Meazza on Sunday.

“I think Inter will win, they have the most complete squad at the moment.

“I am a close friend of [Beppe] Marotta,” he continued.

“He taught me so many things. I’ve begun my career with him at Monza and I continued at Ravenna and Como.

“He helped me so much at the beginning.”

Could he move to Inter to replace the Nerazzurri director?

“This is not the moment, that’s for sure. I am happy at Sassuolo, a great club, I am not going to leave.”
