Kevin-Prince Boateng is effectively out of Milan's clash with Tottenham after spraining his ankle.

The Ghana international limped off at half-time during last night's 1-0 win over Juventus following an accidental collision that seemed to turn his ankle.

“Chief medic Dr. Gianluca Melegati announces that today Boateng underwent tests confirming the right ankle sprain,” read a statement on the club website.

“The player will be monitored daily to evaluate the progress of his condition.”

Although no time frame has been laid out, it is safe to say Boateng will not be available for Wednesday's Champions League game with Spurs.

Milan must overturn their 1-0 first leg defeat when visiting White Hart Lane.

Alexandre Pato and Massimo Oddo both missed the Juventus match due to flu symptoms, but the Brazilian is feeling better today and should make it for Tottenham.
