Juventus decided against signing Miralem Pjanic during the summer transfer window and Besiktas are now in advanced talks to secure the services of the Barcelona midfielder.

Pjanic was linked with a return to Serie A during the summer transfer window, with Juventus particularly interested in securing his services.

However, the Old Lady decided against signing their former midfielder as Barcelona didn’t want to pay a part of his salary during his loan spell in Turin.

According to several reports, Besiktas are now in advanced talks to sign the former Juventus and Roma star.

Sky Sport Italia’s Fabrizio Romano claims the representatives of the Turkish club are negotiating personal terms with the Bosnia international who can move to Besiktas on a temporary deal.

Pjanic about Juventus return: ‘I really want to, but…’

Mundo Deportivo reported earlier today that Pjanic has an offer from Zenit St. Petersburg as well, but the 31-year-old would like to stay in Barcelona until January.

Pjanic joined Barcelona from Juventus in a swap deal with Arthur in 2020. Before the deadline day, he said he wanted to return to Turin but was unsure about a positive end of negotiations between the two clubs.

The former Serie A star can still move to Turkey, where the summer transfer window ends on September 8.

  1. How come Piemonte Calcio injected 400m capital, sold Ronaldo and still not willing to pay for Pjanic wage?

New director doesn`t seem to be the best poker player out there.

  2. He goes to the Turkish league to effectively put his feet up. Complete and utter waste. Nobody ever goes to that league to improve.

  3. @Rosario right now he does not have a lot of options. It is Turkey or the stands. I understand him completely, he also can take his salary without putting a foot in the pitch

  4. The trade between Barca and Pjanic in past years was one of the useless trade… because both players don’t have proper playing time in each club.
