Milan forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic returned with two goals and an assist in a training match at Milanello.

The Swede is showing the first real signs of recovery after the injury in his left knee, suffered in the Serie A game against May 9.

Ibrahimovic has, according to Sky Sport Italia, targeted a return against Lazio after the international break and his presence can come in handy now that Olivier Giroud is in isolation after testing positive for coronavirus.

Milan play their first game in the Champions League against Liverpool three days after the match against the Aquile.

The veteran was back on the pitch at Milanello today and the broadcaster reveals he is still decisive, despite the many physical problems last term.

Ibrahimovic was back in training in view of his return to the squad, as the clash with Juventus defender Matthijs de Ligt also meant he missed out on a place in the Sweden squad at the Euros this summer.

On Wednesday, he was back with the group and scored a brace in the training match, showing signs he is close to competing again.

Giroud scored a brace against Cagliari, but the club announced the French striker tested positive for COVID-19 and the former Chelsea man is currently in isolation at home.
