There is finally some good news for Torino and Italy, as Andrea Belotti is back in training after 10 weeks out with a serious muscular tear.

The striker sustained damage to the femoral bicep in his right leg during the 1-0 defeat to Roma on November 28.

Before that, he had already been forced to sit out five club games in September and October with a sprained ankle, as well as Italy’s Nations League fixtures and World Cup qualifiers.

According to Sky Sport Italia, the 28-year-old centre-forward was back in training with his Toro teammates for the first time today.

That means the Grade II lesion has fully healed and he can begin the process of finding match fitness after such a long lay-off.

There could even be the hope of seeing Belotti play for Torino in the Derby della Mole against arch-rivals Juventus on February 18.

It is also therefore possible he could be called up by Roberto Mancini for the World Cup play-offs against North Macedonia and either Portugal or Turkey next month.
