German reports are again suggesting Bayern Munich will make a bid for Theo Hernandez and believe he could be open to the move, but he hopes to ‘play many more’ games at Milan.

They are preparing for the future and already well aware that Alphonso Davies is heading towards Real Madrid, so need a big name to fill that gap.

French sources had already mentioned Bayern directors were interested in Theo Hernandez and that has now been confirmed by Sky Sports Deutschland as well.

It seems to be beyond doubt that the France international is their first choice for the summer, but whether Milan or the player are open to it is a very different matter.

The 26-year-old was signed from Real Madrid in 2019 for €22.8m and has flourished into one of the best left-backs in the world at Milan.

He is under contract until June 2026 and scored four goals along with nine assists in 34 competitive games this season, some of them playing as a central defender during their injury crisis.

According to Sky Sports Deutschland, Bayern Munich believe the asking price would be €60-70m including add-ons, whereas in Italy the reports point towards a figure closer to €80-90m.

Meanwhile, today Theo Hernandez received a special award to commemorate his 200th appearance in the Milan jersey.

“I want to thank everyone, I am very happy with 200 games for this great club. I hope to play many more and Forza Milan.”
