Aston Villa are reportedly keen to make a move for Roma forward Tammy Abraham at the end of this season.

The English striker left the Premier League for Serie A in August 2021, joining the Giallorossi from Chelsea in a deal worth around £40m.

He shined in his debut season, scoring 27 goals across 53 appearances, but has struggled to replicate that form this campaign, netting just seven in 30 matches.

As reported by 90min, Aston Villa are interested in signing Abraham in the summer and are not put off by Roma’s roughly £40m price tag. The Giallorossi are open to selling the 25-year-old at the end of the season and the player himself is happy to move back to the Premier League.

Abraham previously spent the 2018-19 season on loan with Aston Villa, where he scored 26 goals and provided three assists across 40 appearances.

Recent reports have also linked him with a move to Manchester United, although their priorities may have changed as the possible takeover looms.
