Juventus director Maurizio Arrivabene comments on Alvaro Morata progress and insists they didn’t ‘steal’ Gleison Bremer from under Inter’s noses. ‘A club does what it has to do.’

The Bianconeri officially signed Bremer from their city rivals Torino this week in a deal worth €41m plus up to €9m in various bonuses.

He had seemed destined to join Inter, but the Old Lady got there first, securing both the player and bragging rights on the market at stealing him from under their noses.

“It’s not a matter of stealing, the transfer market is open and a club does what it has to do,” Arrivabene told reporters when leaving today’s Lega Serie A meeting in Milan.

He was also asked about the reports that Juventus are trying again to negotiate a deal with Atletico Madrid for Morata, who just completed a two-season loan in Turin.

“No, there’s no news.”

  1. They didn’t steal anything. The same way Roma didn’t steal Dybala. Both Bremer and Dybala had agreements with Inter long ago, but Inter changed their mind and stalled. Clearly Inter would’ve gone for Bremer had a deal for skriniar been done with PSG.

  2. It’s crazy even to think that Juve stole Bremer, They offered more money, Cairo played his cards and Steven was slower than snail, end of story! Good addition to Juve though.

  3. 2 weeks ago, president of torino said that Bremer will go to whoever matches the 50m asking price, so i dont get how everyone ignores that fact, instead focusing on rumours like talks about stealing player from inter or etc.

  4. CALMAAA!!!

Stealing and wheeler dealing is all part of the game. Juve did well to get Bremer, who is a fine player but will now be make or break with PhD Max. Bayern Munich got a steal with the Dutch Phil Jones and way below the £100M – £120M that Juve were asking. This was no surprise to me as the directors caved at the second bite period and over spent on the Brazilian. Weird math from Juve but no shock as they gave the Legend of The Ten Rings a 4 year, £7M deal to produce bed time calcio.

  5. De Ligt a steal at 80M + 12M salary for a player that hasn’t done much in 3 years? Watch some football ‘Lord Allegri’ instead of just posting on every single Juve article.

  6. How do you steal a player away? football players do not have a fixed price and be picked up like an item from a shop.

Stealing a player would mean juve tapped up his agent/club? now we know torino wanted inter to meet thr transfer demands which inter didnt and juve came in and swept the deal instantly by offering what torino accepted.

I dont hear any foul play coming from torino about juve.

Tyical sour grapes by inter/ from the media outlet claiming juve did this

  7. People tends to forget dat it took inter Milan over a month hence they failed to seal d deal while juventus got d Brazilian under their nose within 48 hour….If u interisti claim dat ur club isn’t interested in d brazilian then why did d management increase their offer from 30million to 35million with d addition of a youth player

  8. Its good to have Bremer I feel he is tougher than De Ligt and more than double less salary, its good deals we are doing. Just now need to thow out rubishes (rabiot ramsey) from team… And would be nice if team would change goalkeeper. Not understand how noone in team not see how weak are polish and never saving team from real dangers 🙁

  9. Sorry guys De Ligt signed for Juventus at £67.8m minus the £9.47m commission paid to Raiola. Bayern paid £68m including £8.5m in add-ons. This is like for like and no real profit made.

They were in a tough spot. Either they keep an unhappy player or they risk losing him for nought. Still way short of his actual worth in terms of what the original stance was.

  10. It’ll be a steal or not when the season actually starts. Inter were in no hurry to pay that much especially after getting Lukaku back and letting a few players go. Then players like Asllani who will cover for Brozo position which makes Inter still the best starting squad in Italy. Slow Dzeko will no longer be an issue but he’s still a great backup that Conte wanted before. Even after getting Bremer Juve defence is still weak.

  11. I will never shut up my woke triggered young girl. I am honored you have taken the time to create a dedicated username.

  12. SoloInter, your defence is sooo good and your team is soooo good on paper that you lost the title to Milan. As for Lukaku, you now have the big game choker back who scores a hattrick against the likes of Salernitana, but goes missing in the big games – good for you. Your owner’s bankrupt and you’ll soon be selling Skriniar and Bastoni to stay afloat. Juve will be back this season and don’t you know it.
