Andrea Belotti will reportedly undergo the second part of his medical tests with Roma today and has said goodbye to Torino fans on social media.

The Italian striker is set to join José Mourinho’s Roma as a free agent after his contract with Torino expired in June.

The Giallorossi have made room for the former Granata captain by selling Felix-Afena Gyan to Cremonese.

Calciomercato.com claims the ex-Torino striker will undergo the second part of his medical today at Rome’s Villa Stuart. He has already arrived at Trigoria and is expected to sign a three-year deal today.

The 28-year-old said goodbye to his former fans with an open letter published on Instagram.

“Dear Torino and Torino fans, it’s hard to describe what we experienced in the last seven years. I was a kid when I arrived and I grew up with the values of this club,” he said.

“I tried to give my all in every training session and every match to repay the love you showed me. We suffered and rejoyced together and I want to thank you. I know my silence has hurt you and I apologise for it, but some situations made me do it. I’ve always wanted to protect this shirt and these colours.

“I will never forget the captain’s armband, the magic of May 4, the Curva Maradona shouting my name. Now I leave as a man and as a father, knowing that I gave my all in these years. It is not a farewell because Torino will always be my home, thank you for everything.”

Belotti scored 113 goals in 251 games with the Granata.

Mourinho confirmed after Saturday’s Juventus clash that a ‘new striker’ would join Roma ‘tomorrow (today) or the day after tomorrow.’
