Pescara boss Massimo Oddo believes Juventus’ Max Allegri “has been as good as Antonio Conte, maybe even better” ahead of Saturday’s clash in Turin.

Allegri has guided Juve to consecutive doubles and a Champions League final since succeeding Conte, who re-established the Bianconeri as a force in Italian football, and Oddo had his say on who was the better Coach for the Old Lady.

“In these two weeks, we’ve worked hard and tried both a back four and back three,” the former Milan and Italy full-back said at a Press conference.

“We have so many big misses, now isn’t the time to experiment. Manaj? He’s okay, I’ll assess whether to play him also in terms of how Juve will play. The likelihood of him playing? 33 percent.

“Bahebeck? We need players who did well against Torino to do against one of the best teams in Europe.

“He’s always had some little problems, but he’s on his way to a complete recovery.

“Juventus? We have a small glimmer of putting Juventus under difficulty. I always feel responsible.

“Our biggest problems are that we aren’t as aggressive going forward as we were last year, and the defensive phase when we lose the ball. In those circumstances, we have to be better.

“Allegri has been as good as Conte, maybe even better. I’ve always appreciated him for what it is his best trait, his communication. In this aspect, he’s unbeatable.”
