Despite downplaying the situation, Massimiliano Allegri clashed with four Juventus players regarding the training schedule, not just Paulo Dybala and Juan Cuadrado.

La Gazzetta dello Sport details how Dybala and Juan Cuadrado, the captain and vice-captain in the absence of Leonardo Bonucci and Giorgio Chiellini, spoke to the Juventus coach on behalf of the squad in order to ask for the training schedule to be kept as usual.

When the Juventus squad play at home, they train in the morning before being allowed to return home until the training retreat in the evening. This time, Allegri wanted the squad to stay at the training ground after the morning session, something the players weren’t keen on.

Allegri didn’t take the request well, getting angry with both Dybala and Cuadrado and accusing them of failing to understand the delicacy of the moment. The former Milan coach then summoned the whole squad to express his frustration.

This led to a few more verbal clashes with various individuals including Adrien Rabiot and Danilo, but Allegri held strong and didn’t change his mind.

Things are a little tense in the Juventus camp following their painful Champions League exit to Villarreal earlier this week.

  1. Kick those moaner out of our club, after disgraceful UCL exit and they expect nothing but punishment?

  2. Rabiot? Seriously you are going to make a decision based on the opinion of one of the worst players to ever play for JUVE??? Give me a break. Get rid of him. Fill up with Italian talent, not these expensive losers. Help build back the Italian national team with a team full of them like the Juve and Milan of old!!! We won Euro, deservedly so. But look at where we are now? Forza Italia should be the moto of every Italian team. This is NOT DISCRIMINATION, this is building our countries future. Where are the Del Pieros? Tottis? Nestas????

  3. Giulio, I totally agree with you, Italy always produced talents and Juventus historically gave the most talent to the Italian national team, and now we are depending on bringing some expensive models from all over just to lose.

  4. Robert, you just hit the nail on the head!!!! Missing a World Cup (and maybe 2) would never have happened if we took this approach a long time ago!

  5. Other than Cuadrado, the other three players better zip it due to their very poor performance!

Allegri and lot of player in Juve squad have lost credibility among the fans.

  6. I think a lot of that has to do with the front office. Allegri can only do so much with the garbage he is given. Chiesa was a revelation… Unfortunately he got hurt. Bring in Zaniolo…. Frattesi….. Scamacca…. Raspadori….. And a goalie better than Szczesny, because he is M E R D A.

  7. @Giulio perfectly stated in each if your comments. Not only Juve but it is time Serie A was Italian again too!!!

  8. @Guilo, you’re absolutely spot on. My concern is that the homegrown talent who used to really care about their team (le bandierine), no longer exist. This is a problem that started with Bosman and allowed agents to rule football. Players are too powerful for their clubs and too loyal to their agents who make them a ton of money. The mercenary mentality is a global problem.

  9. NOrata, you are absolutely right. The mercenary mentality. Agents, especially that F A T PIG Raiola, have ruined the sport. Would I have made the same decision as Donnaruma? I don’t know, that is a lot of money. There is so much hate towards him, however, I don’t feel that way. He did what he had to do. Now with that being said, you are ABSOLUTELY RIGHT that there is NO LOYALTY anymore. Gone are the Maldini’s, or Del Piero’s, or the Totti’s or De Rossi. The latter two, could have and SHOULD HAVE WON SOOOOOO MUCH, but their hearts was with Roma. And for that, I have the utmost respect for them. Not that I don’t respect the others, because I do, but those two just hit differently because they won next to nothing on the club level, and were two of the best of all time… But chose to stay.
