Andrea Belotti has made it clear that he’s open to signing a new contract with Torino, providing the club match his ambitions.

The 28-year-old Italian forward’s contract expires with the Granata at the end of this season and it’s seemed likely for a while that he’d be departing in the summer, ready to start a new adventure elsewhere. He has been linked with a variety of clubs including Milan and Toronto FC.

As highlighted by TuttoMercatoWeb, Belotti is open to renewing his contract with Torino but he wants the club to prove their ambitions and strengthen the squad. He has already received an offer worth €3m net per season but he wants promises regarding transfer market plans and targets before putting pen to paper.

Commenting on the renewal, Belotti was clear about his intentions. “It’s been seven years that I am under the Mole, I want to understand what will be the ambitions and objectives,” He said, “I have always been clear about the fact that it is a situation that I wanted to evaluate at the end of the season to understand everything a little with the team, the coach and the staff.”

The 28-year-old Belotti has made 16 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 953 minutes. In that time, he’s scored four goals and provided one assist.

  1. I want him, especially for between €3-4. Sign him and another younger striker and you have a guy who is steady, 10-15 goals each season, and some younger up-and-coming players. Like to get Origi as well. Then you actually have some legitimate depth up front.
