“It might seem banal, but we have to take it one game at a time. Already tonight it’ll be very difficult against a strong side in a great stadium, we are in good form and need to give our all,” the team manager told Mediaset Premium.
“When results arrive, it helps boost confidence. Perhaps the players weren’t fully aware of how strong they were before, but they are a visibly united squad now and it shows.”
Coach Gennaro Gattuso was asked if he had his own style of play, similar to Diego Simeone’s ‘Cholismo.’
“If Gattusismo is training every day at 100kmh, then I can see it. If not, then I’m not sure what it would be,” smiled Abbiati.

“Arsenal are a great side, we haven’t seen today’s game, as it’s important to take things one step at a time. We won’t play Arsenal until March 8.
“These tests are all very difficult, but also exciting. We’ve got this important match tonight for Serie A position, then Lazio in the Coppa Italia semi-final, followed by Inter in the Derby.”
Today is also goalkeeper Donnarumma’s 19th birthday, yet he feels like a veteran, having made his debut at the age of 16.
“I think Donnarumma will break my appearances record for Milan, but never mind… He’s one of the best goalkeepers in the world right now, he has a long contract, so we all hope he can remain for many years.”
