Dino Zoff believes Fiorentina-Juventus “will definitely be a battle”, and isn’t sure about B teams in Serie C.

The legendary goalkeeper played for Juve and was Viola Coach, so he’s ideally placed to comment on tomorrow’s big game.

“It’s always a beautiful clash,” Zoff told TuttoC.com.

“It’s a very emotional game, with a lot of tribalism. It will definitely be a battle, on the one hand Juventus will want to maintain a certain consistency, on the other Fiorentina will have a huge desire to do well.”

The 76-year-old was also asked for his thoughts on the introduction of B teams to Serie C.

“So far this new project hasn’t yielded great results. In the end only Juventus joined, and I don’t even know if moving a lot of teams from Serie A clubs to Serie C is the right thing.

“I’m so old now that I can remember there was a regional reserve league, which also featured players recovering from injuries and those who weren’t used as much.

“It was still an interesting league, because it was still in the orbit of the first team.”

Juventus haven’t started well in League A, with five defeats in a row leaving them 17th.

“It is clear that, despite being a Under-23 team, it’s still Juventus,” Zoff said.

“Everyone faces them with a different motivation, an extra motivation. I wouldn’t pay too much attention to the results, it’s about the growth of the young players.”
