Keita Baldé Diao confirms it was “really emotional” to score his first Inter goal, and promises “it’s just the beginning”.

The Senegal forward scored a brace against Frosinone last weekend, after a difficult start to his Nerazzurri career.

“It was really emotional to score a goal in front of the crowd at San Siro, in front of our fans,” Keita told Sky.

“It’s just the beginning though, I need to do a lot more. Not everyone gets to wear the Inter shirt, we must have a strong mentality and be ready when we are called upon.

“We are a strong, compact group, we have clarity about what our objectives are. People would have signed up for where we are now at the start of the season, with the [Champions League] group we had.

“We’ll give our all against PSV, then see where we are.”

The Beneamata face Roma at the weekend, and Keita is a former Lazio player…

“It’ll be strange to face Roma, having already done so at Lazio. I’ll certainly enjoy my little derby, and do everything to score.

“Neither they nor Juventus will be happy about facing us, we have a deep squad and we’re prepared for every battle.”
