Simone Zaza expected to join Valencia on loan with option to buy for €20m that becomes obligatory if they avoid relegation.

The deal is believed to be worth €2m for the six-month loan with option to buy for another €16-18m.

The Juventus striker had been at West Ham United this season with a similar agreement, but the Hammers sent him back before he could reach the requisite number of appearances.

The Juventus striker had been at West Ham United this season with a similar agreement, but the Hammers sent him back before he could reach the requisite number of appearances.

Juve and Zaza appear to have agreed terms to avoid that happening again with a much simpler clause – this time Valencia are obliged to buy if he makes 10 appearances or the club avoids relegation this season.

The negotiations are down to the details after Zaza met with Valencia directors today and gave the all-clear.

Juve director Beppe Marotta was also spotted entering the building in Milan where Valencia representatives are staying.
