Simone Zaza says he ‘immediately felt at home’ with Juventus, after his transfer from Sassuolo.

The Italian international had been co-owned by the two clubs, before the Bianconeri gave up their half last summer.

However, the Turin giants included a buyback option on the forward, which was exercised this summer.

“I immediately felt at home,” Zaza explained in his presentation Press conference.

“I’ve been working for five days to get ready for Monday, when the pre-season training camp will begin.

“I’ve been working for five days to get ready for Monday, when the pre-season training camp will begin.

“The thing that struck me, even in just five days, is the organisation, the training centre and everything else.

“It’s a leap I’ve always wanted to make, one that I think every footballer aspires to, to play for a big team. I got there, and now I have to be good to hold down a place.

“I knew before that if I joined Juventus there would be a lot of competition. It doesn’t scare me. I’m ready to show people, but above all myself, that I’m worthy.

“Fear isn’t something which I associate with football, for me it’s just about fun.”

Zaza said after a match against the Old Lady last season that he was not ready to represent the Old Lady, but says he’s ready to prove himself now.

“What I said was the truth, but obviously but obviously I’m convinced that by training here I can get better, and become worthy of Juve.

“Like I said, I’m a Juventus player, and I have to prove I’m worthy of Juve.”
