Nicolò Zaniolo is still a core part of Jose Mourinho’s Roma project and he’ll reportedly be tied down to a new contract soon.
The future of the 23-year-old Italian forward has seemed a little uncertain for a while now, with aa departure looking possible at certain points of this transfer window before the clouds finally started to lift over the Italian capital. The Friedkins are now working on renewing his contract in Rome and both parties are feeling positive.
As reported by Corriere dello Sport, Zaniolo is still a core part of the Roma squad and he’s expected to play a leading role next season alongside Tammy Abraham and Dybala. The new contract will see his salary rise from around €2.5m net per season to €4m net.
The Giallorossi are hoping to challenge for a top four finish next season and could even put up a strong fight in the Europa League following the arrival of Dybala.
By managing to hang onto Zaniolo, Roma have increased their Scudetto chances, no question. Roma will be definite contenders. Zaniolo is the future.
Ok, now focus on selling unused players like Diawara, Villar, etc

Zaniolo-Abraham-Dybala is a very exciting combination. I like Mourinho and so hope Roma have a great season.
With zaniolo and dybala would that mean pellegrini will be playing in a deeper role or being shift to the flanks? Interesting to see how to accommodate 3 creative players.hope that neither pellegrini or zaniolo sitting on the bench as it would mean bad news for azzurri.

Pelegrín’s is the team captain and one of the top performer last season. He can’t be on the bench, I believe the person the arrival will affect most is Christante since Matic also has joined.
I am optimistic about the attacking formation the team can set up this coming season.
